Spa Slovenia: a rainbow of pleasures – magazine Spa report 1'2006

What do we know about Slovenia? The former republic of the Yugoslavia which has declared the independence in 1991, and in May, 2004 entered EU, was known unless to fans of mountain-skiing rest - here already more than 300 years the Slovene Alpes accept admirers of winter kinds of sports, offering them high level of service under rather democratic prices. For the same who prefers rest in style of Spa, Slovenia long remained a blank space on the map of Spa-WORLD, and it is surprising. After all this country not only differs the most advanced economy among the former Yugoslavian republics, but also has huge natural potential for development of Spa: from the north on the south the belt of mineral sources lasts, there is an exit to Adriatic sea - perfect conditions for development of Spas-OBJECTS with a bias in balneology or thalassotherapy. And such objects in Slovenia are, as has found out during the trip the chief executive of National guild of experts of Spa-INDUSTRY Marina Kuchurkina. It has shared the impressions about Slovene Spas.
We Spa- tour has begun in Portorozh. It is the cosy resort small town, located all in 128 km from capital of Slovenia - Lyublyana - at coast of Adriatic sea. The soft Mediterranean climate does rest here pleasant at any time year. Both in the summer, and in the winter, and in inter-season period to services of tourists - service of high level, small little shops and fine kitchen of local cafes and restaurants. The kitchen of Slovenia is a surprising combination of the Balkan dishes to kitchens of neighbouring countries: Гер¬мании, Italy and Austria. Here to you will submit also the present Italian pizza, both delightful штрудель, and the meat prepared in German style with mushroom sauce - and all it under very pleasant prices.
"The grand Hotel" has been constructed in 1911. Old buildings now on reconstruction, and us have lodged in one of new cases. In hotel it is possible to receive Spa-PLEASURE without leaving number (the truth, special Spas-APARTMENTS - one on all hotel, and all in it 185 DW numbers and 13 apartments). But it is better to visit, certainly, «the Term the Oriental carpet of Portorozh» - the modern wellnes-centre which is a part «the Grand Hotel».

We already wrote about Spas to Slovenia (SPA report №1'2006) - and, apparently, there is nothing to tell more; the European level, is a lot of clients, excellent service and good hotels. Our Slovene partners, unlike Russian, constantly aspire to that their projects corresponded to the highest level - read the special literature, adopt world experience and are in a channel of world Spas-TENDENCIES of what we were convinced during the next trip to Slovenia in March, 2007.
In group of National Guild of spa experts were: N.V.Petrovskaya (a network of beauty salons "Queen" Kostroma-Yaroslavl), L.R.Solodkaya (Spa Loren N.Novgorod), M.V.Kuchurkina (Guild of Spa).
Have pleasantly surprised changes in Rogashke to a Slatina. In resort reconstruction Rogashka - Zdravstrvo.d.o.o. 6 mln. dollars are enclosed: redesign of four floors is made, the new medical equipment, hydromassage baths of one of the most expensive French firms is bought. Each floor is sustained now in the colour scale. The given complex does not rank itself as Spas in full understanding of this word: the management draws that this medical institution with elements wellnes.
In addition to well proved programs on treatment medical diseases, the assortment of programs on care of a body and the person is increased.
In Portorozh, in hotel of network LifeClass, centre Terme&Wellness Palace reconstruction has been spent. The director for M.Lenchek's marketing who was visitor Russian Spa Industry Summit ' 2006, told to us about the project, but we did not expect such scope — all of 4000 sq. m. the new design is completely reconstructed, developed, the new equipment, and the centre all this time is bought has been opened for visitings.
