According to the data received more than from 160 world leaders of Spa and the welness-industry, present on the first Global Spa Summit in New York, shortage of the highly skilled personnel, including Spas-MANAGERS and directors, experts in an aesthetics and therapists, for today the most actual problem which has faced world Spa-INDUSTRY. Shortage of the personnel has been specified by the majority of delegates, the main problem is an absence of the world standards for definition of a category of Spa. The three-day Summit, which visiting it was possible only under special invitations, it was spent in the oldest best hotel of New York - Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. Leaders of the industry have acted with lectures and reports in following sections: world Spas, the real estate, investments, tourism, education, beauty and wellnes. Leading experts of Spa of the centres were visitors: Mandarin Oriental; Ritz Carlton; Four Seasons; Starwood Spa Collection; Shangri-la International; Fairmont Raffles Hotels International, Inc.; Spa Chakra; Pritikin etc. They have gathered to make the plan future roughly developing Spa-INDUSTRY. Total amount of investments in which estimate more than in 40 billion dollars. The special action has been applied to discussion of possibility of development of the industry by organizers - all had been gave possibility of electronic voting. This know-how is developed for this conference. Third of delegates focused attention on the general improvement of a state of health of clients, and 26 % of participants have noted importance of advertising of preventive products and Spa as style of life. It is important to inform to the end user that Spa is, first of all, health for many long years. On separate presentations the statistical data across Spa-INDUSTRY worldwide has been presented. A number of performances and section sessions has been devoted questions of the investment possibilities, steady growth of volumes of Spa-INDUSTRY, and also PR-actions. Director Spa Finder Peter Ellis (Peter Ellis) has expressed general opinion that the Summit should become annual event and be spent in different cities worldwide. It will help to obtain the objective data about an industry condition. The trip of the members the Guild of spa experts in NEW YORK to visit Global Spa Summit organized by magazine "Spa Finder". Certainly, it was disturbing, of course, I committed grammatical errors in phrases in English. All the same Global Spa Summit - very serious action: the first persons of Spa, a considerable quantity of professionals, round tables, joint breakfasts, joint evenings during which time participants come into new contacts, were discussed problems of development of business. It would be desirable to be on the ball in such highly professional atmosphere. Also it was very pleasant that after my performance delegates of the summit approached to me and expressed admiration of those results which we have reached! Still more recently the situation was completely not such. To my astonishment, a part of visitors have met us more than cool and, without having worked at all to familiarise with a situation in Russia, asked sceptical questions. Really in Russia there is a culture of Spa? What can Russian make new in this area? For three days of the summit it would not be desirable to miss any possibility: we ran from a hall in a hall, shared the information, hastened to visit Spa. To All visitors possibility free of charge has been given all visitors to visit one of leading Spas of New York — Cornelia Day resort. It is new Spa the centre on 5th Avenue, 2000 sq. m in which there are all components of modern Spa: offices for procedures, a hairdresser's hall, a boutique of accessories, cafe. Among experts there are Romanians, Russian. Besides, under trade mark Cornelia let out a cosmetic line on a face care, a body, hair, accessories, and also a collection of teas (more than 12 kinds). In hotel Four Seasons the magnificent supper for one of sections of participants of the summit has taken place. The action organisation (five months of preparation) — above any praises, magnificent result. All worked accurately, without failures, set of technical conveniences to participants of a forum. But personally for me participation in professional conferences and the summits has invaluable value because of business contacts which there are fastened. Only during conference it is possible to meet simultaneously a considerable quantity of the people opened to dialogue working in the same area of business. Such contacts do not give instant result more often, but give the chance to take a detached view of the business, other eyes, and in the long term, in the fullness of time, the established communications necessarily "emerge" and develop into partnership. Also it is expensive costs!» Comments in a year: The quantity of sponsors has increased, tickets have grown in the price, lecturers who do not correspond to standards of Spa-INDUSTRY began to be invited. Therefore we yet do not plan to visit the given action. About spas: Cornelia Day resort – already when we were in given ñïà the centre, a month before it, there was a change of owners (the Romanian proprietress has sold the business to the American investor (family business) so in a year we see that given ñïà have given the centre under management to one more consulting firm. It reminds nothing to you? Therefore, in Spa is not present the country or the hotel which is the leader of the industry, there are separate managing directors who love the work and can be leaders, we insist on it. |
